We will take you to some of the most beautiful sites in the Mongolia and the tracks a mountain biker’s dream. There are opportunities to ride horses, yaks, and possibly camels – as well as bikes. We will make sure you will get the most out of your bicycle tour: there will be a well balanced itinerary, a support vehicle, and our experienced tour leaders. Support vehicle carries all participants' luggage, or clients who want to take a rest along with their bikes. On top of that, it carries refreshments that can be picked up at any place on the route (soft drinks, sweets and water). You can store your spare clothes or a raincoat there as well. Beside health and technical emergency, bilingual biking guides manage all necessary service for the group during biking days. However, the main task of the guide is to give you a realistic image of our country, its culture and inhabitants. Exploring by bike, you enjoy a relationship with the local people in a way that motorists never can.
Daily Cycling Distance
The distance ridden in a day is an average of 30 km on most tours. This distance leaves enough time both for exploring the remarkable places on the way and for relaxing. A support vehicle is available during all Fully Guided tours. Therefore, you can always choose to make your trip shorter on any day. At the same time, there are many alternative longer routes the keen cyclists who want to bike on a longer distance can take.
Bike Routes
There are no road signs in countryside. Most of the roads are dirt; that will test your back and stomach unless you plan. What makes these local roads connecting village communities ideal for biking is that they are basically free of traffic.
About our itinerary
Each day, after a hearty breakfast, we start the day's cycle at approximately 10.00am. A few hours' leisurely cycling in the morning brings you to our lunch stop, where you can put up your feet and swap stories. After digesting the last of the lunch, we continue on our road. Each evening after a relaxing camp you meet up with the guide and rest of the group for dinner.
